Previous experience is desired

to apply for the job

We are looking for temporary workers for our coating process and loading during the period from June 22 to August 14. Introduction and training will be provided depending on previous experience. The work is primarily organized in shifts.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of the planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. Therefore, we have developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and have committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contributing to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

About the position

We need to fill temporary positions within our production and loading. An operator in production monitors and controls the process in our coating process. The loading department is responsible for loading and unloading materials. Forklift experience is an advantage.

As we have a continuous process, operations run around the clock, and it is crucial that you can work shifts with varying hours.

About you

  • We are looking for employees who are interested in technology and production.
  • We view previous experience in production as a positive, as well as practical skills.
  • You are responsible, meticulous, unpretentious, and understand the importance of quality work.
  • It is important that you are flexible and can handle changes in work pace.
  • If you have a B driver's license, forklift, and/or overhead crane certificate, this is an advantage but not a requirement. Please attach a valid forklift and overhead crane certificate to your application.
  • To work in our operations, you must be at least 18 years old.

Our offer

At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture. We use our values – driving, genuine, and one step ahead – in our daily decision-making, always with the customer in focus. When you start at SSAB, you become part of an organization with passionate problem solvers who work together on important challenges. We will support your growth by offering a safe and friendly workplace that contributes to the balance between work and private life.
